Most scientists regard dark matter as real. But they’ve’ never seen it. It’s a mysterious, invisible substance. Perhaps they will substantiate their theory soon and discover the elusive dark matter they are looking for. After all you can find something if you are prepared to search for it. You can obtain knowledge of something previously unknown, hidden or unseen. Truth has a way of, revealing itself to you in unexpected ways.
I read about a man walking along a beach who found a large black pebble weighing more than 5lbs. For the next ten years the pebble was used as a doorstop to the back door of the man’s cottage. One Sunday lunch time his wife asked him to sharpen the carving knife. Unable to locate his usual sharpening stone the man set about tapering the blade on the black pebble doorstop.
At first stroke of the blade, it became apparent that the doorstop wasn’t a black pebble. It was a silver tarnished round ingot worth thousands of pounds.
The man scratched below the surface of the doorstop and found a rich treasure. If you are prepared to conduct a deeper and more thorough examination of the Christian faith you will find something of immense value. Jesus put it this way.
‘The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field’
Matthew 13:44
