Most scientists regard dark matter as real. But they’ve’ never seen it. It’s a mysterious, invisible substance. Perhaps they will substantiate their theory soon. After all if you are prepared to search you can find what you are looking for. You can obtain knowledge of something previously unknown, hidden or unseen. Truth has a way of, revealing itself to you in unexpected ways too.
I read about a man walking along a beach who found a large black pebble weighing more than 5lbs. For the next ten years the pebble was used as a doorstop to the kitchen entrance of his cottage. One Sunday lunch time his wife asked him to sharpen the carving knife. He'd misplaced his whetstone and was unable to sharpen the blade as requested. So he improvised and used the black doorstop-pebble.
At first stroke of the blade, it became apparent that the doorstop wasn’t a black pebble. It was a silver tarnished round ingot worth many thousands of pounds.
The man scratched below the surface of the doorstop and found a rich treasure. If you are prepared to conduct a deeper and more thorough examination of the Christian faith you will find something of immense value.
Jesus put it this way.
‘The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field’
Matthew 13:44
